Rohan Maths, Economics-Cambridge student

  • Online Tuition

Hello,

My name is Rohan and I am excited to offer my tutoring services in Mathematics, Economics and Further Maths. Having recently completed my A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Economics, and Physics and achieving all A*s in these subjects, I am well versed in the exam technique and content required to succeed in both GCSEs and A-Levels.

Having recently navigated the university application process and gaining offers from top institutions such as Cambridge and LSE, I am also offering application tutoring, including help with Personal Statements, Admissions Assessments (TMUA) and Interview preparation.

I believe that an understanding of Maths is necessary for developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are valuable in everyday life. My aim as a tutor is to make learning an enjoyable experience for students and to help students understand the specific topics that they are struggling in.

I look forward to working with you and help you in your learning journey!

About Me

In October I have started 1st year Economics at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, and am looking forward to exploring both mathematical and economic theories throughout my course.

I have a great understanding of the curriculum and my teaching style is to tailor each session to the student by identifying the topics that they are struggling in. I am flexible with timings and I aim to make each lesson engaging by using real-life examples where possible.

I have 6 months of experience teaching maths to 11+ and KS3 students, and I understand the significance of practice questions and problem solving when learning maths.

I have an extreme passion for both Maths and Economics. I have regularly competed in various UKMT Maths challenges and Olympiads, as well as Economics competitions, such as the Young Economist of the Year. I hope that I can use this experience to help my students develop a similar appreciation for Maths and Economics that I have.

Services

I offer GCSE maths/further maths tutoring and A-Level maths/further maths tutoring, with a focus on going through practice questions on specific topics.

I also offer A-Level economics tutoring with a focus on explaining economic topics in a clear and concise way, as well as going through exam technique with students.

Additionally, I offer university application tutoring for students aspiring to study economics at top UK institutions. I recognize that the application process can be highly stressful. Having recently navigated this process myself and securing places at prestigious universities such as Cambridge and LSE, I am well-equipped to assist students with their Personal Statements, Admission Tests (TMUA), and interview preparation.

Having achieved A*s in maths, further maths and economics, I am confident that I can assist with a student's doubts in these subjects.

Rohan has been invaluable in aiding me to tailor a powerful and impactful personal statement that accurately reflects my passion for economics by providing great advice on how to best utilise the resources I have read and opinions that I have developed. His advice has been easy to understand and has always been happy to answer further queries that I have had. I strongly believe that his help has improved my personal statement and chance of getting into a competitive university and strongly recommend him!

Rohan has been a great mentor to me, providing meaningful guidance for my personal statement, TMUA, economics interviews with Cambridge and general insight into the admissions process. This has been invaluable since the process is so complex, and it can be overwhelming without a sense of direction. He helped me reshape my personal statement and tailor it for Cambridge admissions - I would highly recommend!
