I am an experienced Science teacher and Tutor, with outstanding subject knowledge and genuine passion for learning.

About Me

Due to the extensive disruption to effective learning the past two years have had many students have huge gaps in their learning, have lost enthusiasm and confidence.
My primary aim is to help students in these three areas. Primarily helping them master the basics of the subject, followed by giving them opportunities to consolidate their learning and grow in confidence. 
I have a vast bank of resources and extensive subject knowledge, after a few lessons I get to know a student allowing me to adapt resources and lessons to their individual needs.
Helping learners to gain confidence and knowledge isn't enough for me, I always aim to pass on my love and passion for the subject to them. 
Additionally I am to set homework tasks and encourage students to develop their independent learning skills, which inevitably help them in the long run.

Services

I offer online tuition via Zoom on a one to one basis and also in small groups.

Depending on the year group and time of year I will persure various goals with my pupils. Primarily to build a solid foundation of subject understanding, boost learner confidence and helping pupils develop better learning skills, all whilst enjoying learning with a passionate and enthusiastic tutor.

I can also provide lessons for young people who are home educated and can adapt the curriculum according to their needs. Depending on location I also offer home visits which can include a range of practicals. I have a decent set of equipment, not quite the same as a Science department at a school, but I can be very creative to design practicals in a way that work.
