Hi I'm Sam. I'm author of 'Winning the War with Bipolar', a book which is in 1 psychology syllabus and 3 academic libraries. I have worked in the mental health industry for a number of years. I enjoy bringing out the best in people and helping others to achieve their goals. I value the quality of patience and I believe this quality is what helps me to be a good mentor.

I devote Fridays-Sundays to tutoring. I hope to meet you soon!

About Me

I have experience tutoring A Level, BSc and MSc psychology students, although most of my sessions to date have been with 2nd and 3rd year bachelors students.

My speciality is in helping students to use the right strategies to perform well on assignments. I believe that there is always a formula on how to get good grades and my talents is being able to teach those formulas to pupils. I have created a template for lab reports and essays which help my pupils to perform well. I've also created a flowchart to help students to easily work out how to perform the right statistical tests.

I also specialise in helping students to perform well on applications for future studies. I've helped a number of students to enrol on MSc programmes. I'm currently helping one student to enrol on a PhD programme and am helping another in her application to study the BSc Educational Psychology course at Cambridge. Wish them luck - I hope they get in!

I'm experienced in teaching all subjects in the BSc curriculums across the UK, including cognitive psychology and forensics; but my main focus is in clinical psychology. I am particularly well versed in psychosis, affective disorders and (c)PTSD. There is a lot of variance in the curriculums for MSc courses. Masters clients tend to want help with how to organise and structure lab reports and dissertations.

If you need help with psychology, I can help you to develop and meet your goals. I can also help you to develop yourself so that you can be your own teacher in the future. That is my main goal.
