Holding a UK degree and Masters (in English Literature), and a PGCE (Teaching Qualification), I am a professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual who is committed to strengthening students` English skills.
My expertise and passion lies in teaching English Literature and my one-to-one, calm and creative approach to sessions ensure that students are challenged to reach their potential. I aim to cater my approach to meet the individual needs of every child.
Please see below for an outline of my teaching experience:
2013-2016 - English Teacher abroad in the Middle East for 3 years, specializing in teaching English as a second language as well as IGCSE Literature.
2016-2018 - English Teacher in a challenging London Teach First School, with experience ranging from low-attaining Year 7 students to A-level classes (being AS and A-Level co-coordinator at my school).
2018-2020 - English Tutor working initially in person, and then online (due to Covid) with individual students of varying needs, including but not only, a 9 grade student, several a-level students, and even KS3 students.
I have expertise in working with the following exam boards for KS3, GCSE, and A-Level pupils:
AQA (GCSE specialism)
IGCSE Cambridge
OCR (A-Level specialism)
Eduqas GCSE
Edexcel A Level
I am willing to work with other exam boards across key stages, upon request.
