Hello,

My name is Sandra and I’m currently studying pharmacology and physiology at university. Currently, in one of my modules I am enjoying the application of pharmacology to real life medical case studies. Furthermore, the various topics covered within my degree so far has kept me very excited and interested in my course.

Prior to university, I didn’t always enjoy school or studying as I tended to get quite overwhelmed and frustrated. However, I eventually managed to find a way to get the grades I wanted and needed which in turn has influenced the way I choose to teach.

I believe the best way to help students gain confidence in a subject is to section topics into smaller parts which prevents the student from becoming overwhelmed or grow disinterested. Then to regularly test the students’ knowledge with a task such as a short quiz or past paper question in order to best prepare the student for exams, since this is a great method to retain information. This is the method which best worked for me.

It’s also important to mention that not all student are the same, and I am more than willing to cater to the needs of each individual such as helping a them fill gaps in their knowledge of a topic.
