Sarah Law Psychology, Mental Health or Spanish Certificate, Certificate, Masters, Bachelors

  • Online Tuition

Hello. My name is Sarah and I would love to be your tutor! My prime subject is Psychology having completed a Master of Science in Psychology at the University of Greenwich (grade: merit). In addition to this, I have much knowledge surrounding mental health and am officially trained in Mental Health First Aid (accredited by MHFA England St John's Ambulance) and have just completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills at The University of Edinburgh (accredited by COSCA).

My undergraduate degree was in Spanish and Business Studies, for which I received a 2.1 at Newcastle University. As part of this degree, I lived and worked in Madrid for a year, which heightened my Spanish language skills. Prior to starting this degree, I lived in Quito, Ecuador for five months as both an English Teacher and Nursery Assistant. I am more than happy to aid those wanting to learn Spanish or who are currently studying Spanish at either GCSE or A-Level.

Happy to provide any proof of documents.

Let's get started!

About Me

Following my A-Levels, I completed a five-week course in Spanish in Madrid. This was followed by a 5-month placement in Ecuador where I taught English to children betwee 4-14 years. In addition to this I worked as a Nursery Assistant and in particular, I worked with a girl a little older than nursery age who had autism. Whilst there, I lived with a local host family and afterwards, went travelling around Peru and Bolivia for one month.

This followed a four-year BA at Newcastle University in Spanish and Business Studies. As part of the degree, I spent one year in Spain where I worked in Events Management for a global financial services company. Prior to heading out there, I had a month-long internship in Financial Services Marketing at the same company but in London.

On leaving university, I landed a job at an international law firm within the Marketing and Events management department. This followed 2 years at a boutique wealth management firm where I was based in the Investment Property department. Both roles were based in London.

In a desire to have a career change into psychotherapy, I completed a MSc in Psychology at the University of Greenwich (London) and gained work experience through charities whose prime focus was mental health. These experiences included running workshops for high school students based on looking after one's mental health and warning signs of poor mental health, alongside wellbeing checks on clients suffering with issues such as alcoholism, depression, domestic abuse and/or anxiety.

I have just completed at Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills at the University of Edinburgh.
