I have twenty years' experience teaching KS2 in primary schools and during this time I have led both English and maths within the school. As well as classroom teaching, I have taught individuals and groups providing catch up work where needed. For about a year, I worked for 'Out of School Tuition' in Derbyshire where I tutored pupils from year 2 to year 7. I know that every pupil learns differently and in my role as a tutor, I plan work that is appropriate and engaging for each individual child. 

About Me

I started off my career over twenty years ago, initially working in an SEN environment to gain experience before completing my PGCE.  After training, I worked full time until I had my first child. I remained teaching and tutoring part-time after my second child was born. I love reading, solving puzzles and all aspects of the theatre, performing and directing in an amateur theatre group. I really enjoy using these experiences to support my teaching.
