Hi, my name is Shelby! I'm currently studying a MSc at University College London in the History and Philosophy of Science so I am looking to tutor part-time mostly online, though I will consider traveling to a home in London. About Me

Though I was born in rural Georgia, USA and grew up there, I have lived in Scotland the past four years while I studied at the University of St Andrews. Recently I have reloacted to North London to pursue my MSc at UCL.

Services

The subjects I am qualified to tutor in are:

- Modern History (1500 to the present day), specializing in British culture from the turn of the twentieth century to before the Second World War; disease and its impact on society, the environment and technology; Charles Darwin and the time period before, during and after the the publication of On the Origin of Species.

- International Relations, specializing in UN missions in Africa; European state formation; China's role in displacing regional powers in Oceania and growing regionalism in Oceania.

- AP test preparation in the subjects of US History, English Literature and Composition, Human Geography, and US Government and Politics

- ACT and SAT test preparation

Along with being able to tutor in writing and speaking both conversational and academic English, I will also proofread and edit written work for grammar, structure, and clarity.

I wish to primarily tutor online, though I am willing to travel within London to offer in-person tutoring for a slight increase in price.
