Hi, my name is Tara. I set up as an independent tutor in 2020 before this i worked at a learning center for 4 years. Regrettably the center was foced to close during the second lock down, but with encourgement and support form all my students I became a private tutor. I hold Masters degree in Media Studies, and I completed my PGCE in 2017 with covered teaching Maths and English. I am up to date with my CRB/DBS check. I got into teaching because as someone who has a learning difficultly I understand the importance of having that one to one suport but also havign a teacher willing to make sure you understand, not just by repeating themsleves but by enganging and fnding out differnet ways to teach a topic. I enjoy helping students to finallyget thing to make sence  and turn a topic they hate learning into something fun. 

I have provided support as a tuor to a wide range of students. This could be helping primary school students, secondary, a level or even helping adults who are wantng to take take functional skill to achive the grade they need to move on in college. I worked as a tutor for 2 years before i qulified as a teacher helping adults with thre Maths or foreing exchange studnets needing support with there English. 

About Me

I am 36 years old and have being working as tutor for the past 6 years. I gained my PGCE in education in 2017 and from i worked in a learnign center helping people with additional needs as well as home schooled students which i loved as no two days were ever the same. I enjoy working with children as well as my dog Nala. I am currently working towards a degree in Canine Behaviour so that i can also help people understand there dogs better.

There is a weeks notice policy, so i am able to fill in times otherwise you will still be charged. All frist session will consiste of a self assessment so  can assess the knowledge of the student and were protential gaps may be.
