Hello! I am a fun and enthusiastic tutor with lots of experience supporting pupils with additional needs. I like to focus my provision on your child's strengths and use them to motivate your child to learn new things and explore the world around them. I use a holistic and functional approach. This means that I like to see the purpose behind what I am teaching your child by looking at all of their needs. Ideally, this leads to your child being more independent and fulfilled. I like to work closely with parents, as a team, to ensure that everyone is on the same page as I believe this to be a key element to supporting children with additional needs.

About Me

I have worked as a one to one support TA for around 5 years in both mainstream and specialist settings. I have worked with pupils aged 5-13 and have experience using PECS, Makaton, ABA. I have also observed many speech/language and occupational therapy sessions with the children I have worked so I have an understanding of those types of needs as well. Most of my experience has been with pupils with Autism Spectrum DIsorder however, I am open and excited about opportunites to work with pupils with different needs. I am currently attending university (studying education) and have a plethora of books and resources available for me to study from in order to learn how to support different types of special educational needs.
