I am a qualified primary school teacher, teaching for 5 years. I have spent most of my teaching time in year 1 and year 2. I have an extensive knowledge of the curriculum and the end of year assessments for both the phonics screening test and key stage 1 SATs. 

I have a huge passion for teaching with love. This means that I want to ensure each child is engaged and happy to learn. I do this by tailoring their learning through their own passions and interests. Each child is different and have different learning needs. I thoroughly believe in a quote by Albert Einstein that “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

I also hold a BSC Geography degree and I am a qualified Forest School leader. I keep up to date with current academic studies for learning and I am always looking to advance my CPD through the National College. 

Currently on maternity leave, I am offering online tutoring (Microsoft Teams) to primary school students. Timings can vary to suit your needs but I can offer sessions during the day as well as in the evenings. 

Your first session will be free of charge and involve me spending time getting to know your child and their interests before putting together a programme of study to help your child learn.
