1:1 tuition for English Language and Literature, Years 4 – 13.

I am a well-qualified and experienced English teacher; I have been teaching English Language and Literature to years 7-13 for five years, and have been tutoring for eight years. I have extensive knowledge of the GCSE exam specifications – I am an English Language exam marker for AQA and was Key Stage 4 English coordinator at my previous school in Cambridge. I have also worked with KS2 students, and have taught A-Level English Language and Literature and Literature for several years.

My sessions for Key Stage 3 focus on developing exam skills through reading, making inferences, creative writing, analytical and essay writing, and analysing poetry.

For Key Stage 4, GCSE skills are practised and mastered with a focus on the Language and Literature exam papers, and through revising class Literature texts.

I am also available to work with KS2 students for SATs preparation, or with A-Level students for exam technique and text analysis.

I am happy to travel up to half an hour to your home for distanced 1:1 sessions, and also offer online lessons.
