I am a qualified teacher with many years of experience teaching, from primary to adult, and in small groups and 1:1. In 2015 I began tutoring locally and since the pandemic I have been giving online lessons aswell. 

I am reliable and conscientious and prepare thoroughly for lessons. The start point is to help my students clarify their goals and then I help them achieve those goals. I am patient and encouraging and listen carefully to what my students need.

About Me

I studied in London and Exeter and then lived abroad for several years.

Whilst living in Germany, I taught German to primary school children in army schools, and also English to German adults, both in small groups and 1:1. Later I taught functional skills (maths and English) to 16-18 year olds and then after cuts to FE, I updated my teaching skills and began teaching English as a Foreign Language to visiting teenagers and adults. 

I have a wide experience of teaching and have always been able to adapt to new situations. I have been able to bring all these skills to my tutoring work.

I have an enhanced DBS certificate.

Services

I teach English and maths to primary students, and also offer maths at KS3 and English Language and Literature to GCSE, plus maths and English functional skills and German at elementary level. I teach English as a Foreign Language from beginner to advanced, including Cambridge Certificates and IELTS exams.

I have taught students from all over the world including Europe, Russia, Japan and China.

I have experience teaching online using Zoom, FaceTime and specific teaching platforms.

I can give homework and help students with self study inbetween lessons if that is what they need.
