As an enthusiast of using drama as a teaching strategy, I was excited to see your post about this position. I have a positive attitude to learning which I like to portray to my peers too. I believe that every child has the potential to do great which is why my chosen form of behaviour management ensures positive reinforcements. Encouraging the children to do better. I currently work in KS1 but I have adaptable skills which I can use when transitioning to KS2. During my apprenticeship I have gained skills such as; knowledge in child development and the importance of safeguarding when it comes to working with children and young people. My daily school life includes; preparing resources for each lesson, assisting the teacher with classroom duties, and carrying out interventions. Although it seems very robotic explaining it in a list, my day is packed with surprises. I always say, one day as a teaching assistant is always different to the next. and, it’s very true! This makes my day more interesting but the best reward is seeing the children’s progress.
